1. Order Cancellation
Once an order has been successfully placed, customers may request cancellation before the order has been processed or dispatched.

2. Cancellation After Dispatch
Once an order has been processed, packed, or dispatched, it cannot ordinarily be cancelled.
If the customer refuses to accept a dispatched order or the order is returned to Vera Prakashan due to reasons attributable to the customer, any refund or re-shipment will be subject to the applicable policies of Vera Prakashan.
3. Refund for Approved Cancellation
If a cancellation request is approved before the order is processed or dispatched, any eligible refund will generally be issued through the original payment method.
The time required for the refund to appear in the customer’s account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, or financial institution.
4. No Cancellation for Change of Mind
Orders cannot be cancelled merely because the customer:
- Changed their mind.
- No longer wants the book.
- Selected the wrong book.
- Ordered the wrong quantity.
- Does not wish to receive the order after dispatch.
Such cases will not ordinarily qualify for cancellation or refund.
5. Incorrect Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information at the time of placing an order.
Vera Prakashan will not be responsible for failed delivery or additional costs resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address, phone number, PIN code, or other information provided by the customer.
6. Cancellation by Vera Prakashan
Vera Prakashan reserves the right to cancel an order in exceptional circumstances, including:
- The ordered book being unavailable.
- Pricing or product information errors.
- Payment-related issues.
- Suspected fraudulent or unauthorized transactions.
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If Vera Prakashan cancels a prepaid order, the eligible amount will be refunded to the customer through an appropriate payment method.
7. Damaged or Defective Books
Cancellation is different from a return or refund claim for a damaged or defective book.
If you receive a damaged or defective book after delivery, please refer to our Return Policy and Refund Policy.
A clear and continuous unboxing video is mandatory for claims relating to damaged or defective books.
